Rest In Peace Ansan (안산)

Rest In Peace Ansan (안산)

No words can ever express what Ansan is going through right now. THe near empty hallways, the students that will never get to graduate, the students that will never experience the struggles of entering college, or the students that have yet to be found. Beyond the fact that the sinking of the Sewol ferry is a national disaster and tragedy, it is a hole in the hearts of the people of Ansan. There is nothing that can ever replace the students lost or anything that will settle the unrest for the students that still have yet to be found.

I hope that the remaining bodies will be found and that the loved ones, friends, and family members of the deceased of the missing students can find some solace amidst all this tragedy and agony, even if it seems impossible. My prayers go out to all of you. Korean mourns for you and above anything else, I mourn for all of you. As a Korean-American and a human being, I mourn for you.

Rest in Peace.

As They Are

“Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.”

– Alan Watts
